Barcelona Coach Sends Message To 25-Year-Old Nigerian Striker
Lead trainer of Barcelona female group, Lluis Cortes has paid tribute to Nigerian striker, Asisat Oshoala for winning the 2019 African Women’s Player of the Year grant for the fourth time.
Cortes said he feels special to have the 25-year-old forward in his Barcelona squad, including that she is a one of a kind player that gives the Catalan club a favorable position.
Oshoala has been great for Barcelona so far this season.
She packed away four objectives as Barcelona whipped Tacon 6-0 on Saturday.
“Having the best African player (Asisat Oshoala) in my group implies a great deal,” Cortes told Goal.
“She earned the honor and they aren’t giving her for what her identity is nevertheless founded on merit. This to a limited extent benefits us, from her prosperity and her individual exhibitions.
“We are advantaged to have her since she is an altogether different player with an alternate physical structure in contrast with some other player in the association.
“Having such an exceptional player, that is so not quite the same as what you can discover on the national market is a bit of leeway for us and it’s our obligation to know in what minute to play her.
“The minute when possibly another player can perform better yet we are content with her. Her mentality and her game returning from the special seasons has been great and we trust this proceeds.”
