Boko Haram: Saboteurs in military behind lingering crises in Northeast – Governor Zulum

Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum, has said that the clarification given to him by the military field administrators on the assault on his caravan and general security circumstance in Baga town was not adequate to the legislature and individuals of the state.

Zulum, who addressed newsmen in Maiduguri on his experience during his excursion to Baga, the fishing town in Borno, said he was disheartened with what he saw and experienced in Baga.

He, in this way, approached the individuals of the state to ascend on the side of the administration and against saboteurs in the military through aggregate endeavors so as to win the progressing battle against revolt in the upper east.

Zulum told newsmen that there are more than 500 individuals in Kukawa town when he showed up and the legislature had the option to disseminate food to around 80 family units.

As per him, there was no chance the legislature or any NGO can contact the 500 individuals needing help with that region with the current security circumstance in the region.

He said if the individuals are as yet living in camps and nothing is done to move them to their different towns, the security issues may wait for some time.

He saw that there are more than 10 million individuals from Baga town who are cultivating on the shores of the Lake Chad before, however today the story is diverse as there are no individuals living in Baga.

While communicating harshness on the assault on his caravan in Baga, Professor Zulum stated, there are around 1,200 warriors positioned at mile 4, which is just about 4km to Baga town, yet they couldn’t free the town.

“We were there and you saw what occurred. The troopers were shooting and we as a whole need to make a turn. This isn’t worthy. Be that as it may, we can neither accuse the President or the Army Chief on this.

In any case, the specialists must start to investigate what’s going on the ground with our fighters in the bleeding edges and make an unequivocal move to guarantee these officers enter and clear Baga town.

“On the off chance that this won’t occur, our kin need to wake up and do the needful regardless of whether it takes us enlisting a few a huge number of trackers and go along with them with our police power to dispatch assaults on those hoodlums and clear Baga town to reestablish harmony and trust in that piece of the state.

“I can’t disclose why these need to wait with 1,200 warriors in Baga, 1,007 troopers in Cross aside officials, 450 fighters at mile 4 and 1,900 troopers in Monguno.

“They let us know there are no troopers, however there are fighters in every one of these spots with the number to securely arraign the battle to free this zone. The issue isn’t tied in with battling men or hardware, the specialists need to boil down to investigate what is advising this need regarding enthusiasm to battle among our warriors,” Zulum said

The representative included that, if nothing is done critically to contain the emergencies and the individuals keep on collapsing arms or stow away in their feelings of dread, these emergencies would not end soon.
